What are Bitcoin Ordinals?
Bitcoin Ordinals are a protocol that allows users to inscribe data onto the Bitcoin blockchain. This data can include images, videos, text, or any other digital file. Ordinals are essentially NFTs that are created on the Bitcoin blockchain, rather than on other blockchains like Ethereum.
To create an Ordinal, users must send a transaction to a Taproot-compatible wallet with the data they want to inscribe attached. Once the transaction is mined, the data is permanently etched onto the Bitcoin blockchain.
